Now that our daughter is getting to age when she should start to flip over and sit up, we’ve been working with her on the mat we have, but she often gets distracted by the toys that hang overhead. We don’t want to put her on the carpet because of germs from outside and we obviously don’t want to put her on a hard floor.
We’re not the only parents, I’m sure, that have this problem. So were very excited when we were able to review the Oshi mat, which you can find at EcoMom, the place for Eco-friendly baby care products!
I’ll admit it – I’m a bit germaphobic. And, since we decided that we’ll be making Ella’s baby food, we’ve become more aware of finding products that are recyclable and environmentally friendly.
The Oshi mat is that, and more. It’s recyclable, easy to clean, and made of a non-toxic foam. It’s great for using a changing mat, for tummy time, mommy & me classes – just about anything! And, because it’s moisture free, it doesn’t allow bacteria to store. Just wipe with warm water and a gentle soap or with a disinfecting wipe.
What’s our favorite feature of the Oshi mat? Though it arrived rolled up, it unrolled completely flat! We didn’t have to re-roll the other way, or stand on it to make it flat – I can’t tell you how nice this was!
Ella loved it (despite the trouble-making smirk on her face)! It’s large enough so she can roll around but small enough so it’s convenient to carry on trips or to stash away when not in use.
The Oshi mat can be purchased online at EcoMom for $52, which is amazing deal if you think of all it can be used for. They also have other designs available, but we just love the whimsical owl design!
