Fitbit Zip #review and Best Buy coupons for your health #millionsteps

Getting healthier and losing weight makes most people’s New Year’s resolution list every year, but it’s usually around this time of year that we begin to taper off. Frustration, temptation, the cold winter outdoors – there are so many excuses that we use, but what if you could just improve your health with what you’re already doing using a simple device like the Fitbit Zip?

You don’t need an expensive gym membership or a pricey treadmill in your house – especially if one of your resolutions is to spend less money. You just need to be aware of how many, or how little, steps you take throughout your day. As the single mom of two – a toddler and a teen – I figured that my steps would be many but, in fact, I was only actually taking about 4-5000 steps per day. The recommended number of steps per day is 10,000, so I was actually taking less than half the recommended steps. Even now, I’m slowly increasing my steps, but at least I’m aware and can, quite literally, take steps towards a healthier lifestyle.

Fitbit Zip

The Fitbit Zip is different from the average pedometer; it not only tracks the steps you’ve taken, but also lets you know how far you’ve traveled and how many calories you’ve burned. It syncs wirelessly to your laptop or smartphone so that you can keep track of your progress where ever you go. You can also earn badges which helps keep you motivated and you can connect with friends and challenge them to a steps-off – way more cooler than a dance off, no? There’s even a little emoticon on the screen that lets you know how you’re doing as your day – and your steps – go on!

For around $60, it’s a great little tool to have all year long, as it takes just a second to snap on to your bra, pocket or anywhere that’s convenient for you. And, to sweeten the deal, below are some great Best Buy coupons to further stock your weight loss artillery.
