I love saving money and we’re always looking for great deals, especially since being laid off. I’ve cut back on groceries, opting for more of the necessities and less snacks and brand name foods. We’ve started shopping more at consignment shops, at which we’ve found some amazing deals on name brand clothes. We even tried purchasing less expensive diapers, but we realized that was a mistake one night when Ella had fallen asleep on the sofa and the next day was spent trying to remove urine smell and stains from my new sofa.
We’ve always been loyal to the Huggies brand, but after a friend recommended another store-brand diaper, we figured it was worth a try. The money we saved on the diapers was spent on Febreeze for the sofa. After doing some price comparison, we found we were only saving a penny a diaper; not that much of an increase for a quality diaper. I felt much better about using Huggies when I was out of town and Ella was home with her dad. I knew there would be no leaking on the couch and fewer diaper rashes because of better absorbency.
Even though we’re working on potty training Ella, we still needed a night time diaper that would stand up to all of the juice she consumes throughout the day. Huggies Overnites are their most absorbent diaper, perfect for keeping your little one dry throughout the night no matter what their age. The snug fit waistband stays in place and features Winnie the Pooh designs, which Ella loves.
Considering what we went through when we had the brilliant idea to switch brands, we won’t be making that mistake again. We love that we’ve not had any leaks with Huggies in the two years that we’ve used them, we’ve had very few incidences of diaper rashes and Ella doesn’t mind having her diaper changed as much when they feature her favorite characters!
You can follow Huggies on Facebook and on Twitter. I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central for Huggies. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for participating.

I’m pretty partial to Huggies as well. There are other diapers that work great – Pampers and Walgreens also worked well for us. I calculate the price per diaper and stock up when I find a good deal.
