I am absolutely looking forward to spring; the warmer weather means the kids can play outside, I won’t have to bundle them up for car trips, we can open the windows to let the fresh air in and mommy gets to break out the pretty flats and sandals that have been staring me down all winter. Of course, this also means I get to treat myself to a pedicure – another perfect Mother’s Day present, hint, hint – so that gives me a little more motivation to get my feet summer-shoe ready! I also love to be able to tie in a pop of color and since I’m a busy mom of two, my shoes have to be pretty, practical and comfortable, so I’m loving my new Lindsay Phillips flats.

Lindsay Phillips flats

Lindsay Phillips began designing functional flops with colorful straps, each adorned by a unique button. She’s carried the same idea for interchangeable designs to other types of shoes including flats, pumps, wedges and more.  When you visit her site, you can choose your favorite type of shoes and your favorite easy snap-on adornments to create multiple looks for spring, summer and into fall.

I chose the Liz Ballet Flat with the Gabby snap; I think they’ll be perfect to make my favorite summer dresses more casual or to add a pop of color to my favorite Little Black Dress. Like me, many women are apprehensive about wearing really bright colors for summer, but these salmon colored flats are a perfect way to look cute in vivid colors. Of course, Lindsay Phillips has more muted colors and designs, as well.

I love the soft interior of the shoes, the cheerful salmon color and how I can change the look of the shoes just by switching the interchangeable snaps. I’m certain these will make an ideal gift for any mom, especially on a budget. You can find Lindsay Phillips online and follow on Facebook and on Twitter.
