Normally, I’m not much of a thrill seeker. I prefer my feet to be planted firmly on the ground, so when my husband suggested that, before the kids head back to school and our life gets crazy(er), we take a day just for the two of us. His suggestion? A day of screaming of Kings Island.
Who knew that by our spending a day at Kings Island together, which is only a few hours from our house in Mason, OH near Cincinnati, we’d also be helping to kick cancer?
Thrills, Chills, And Just For Kicks
During Kings Island Kicks Cancer days, from August 1 through August 21, guests to the park can help raise money for cancer-fighting organizations just by purchasing a soccer ball and kicking it into the park’s gorgeous fountain. In doing so, you’ll also have a chance to win a brand new 2016 Honda Civic, thanks to a generous local dealership, Performance Kings Honda.
Soccer balls are only $5 for one or $20 for five. Don’t worry if you can’t make it to the park because you can still purchase soccer balls online! One of the awesome Kings Island Kicks Cancer team members will kick your ball into the fountain so you’ll still have a chance to win the Honda Civic!
Net proceeds from soccer ball sales benefit The Dragonfly Foundation, Melanoma Know More and Pink Ribbon Girls.
It’s So Much Better At The Island
So while you could purchase the soccer balls online, wouldn’t you much rather visit the park? Purchase a Kings Island Kicks Cancer admission ticket and $1 from every online ticket sold benefits The Dragonfly Foundation, Melanoma Know More and Pink Ribbon Girls.
Remember when I said I’m not much of a thrill seeker? I actually always have a great time at Kings Island and can ride most of the coasters there. Plus, it’s a nice when I get to spend some one-on-one time with my hubby, albeit while we’re acting like kids ourselves.
Or, when we get discover where the government is actually hiding aliens and their ship…
Can that even be real? Maybe. I guess you’ll have to go to Kings Island to find out!
Check out other great events at Kings Island before summer ends!
