This year, I attended my very first iRetreat Conference (formerly Reviewer’s Retreat) and I’m so thrilled at how much I learned and the caliber of bloggers that I was able to meet. It was so much fun meeting familiar faces – ones that I’ve only seen online – in person. It was an honor to hear keynote speakers Vera Sweeney and Audrey McClelland speak about valuable partnerships, both with brands and with other bloggers. I also visited Hershey, PA for the first time ever, lost in a sea of chocolate, from the meals to the martinis and even the cocoa-scented soap in the bathroom. All of these experiences, thanks to my friends at Rite Aid.
My travel and accommodations to iRetreat were provided by Rite Aid as part of my ambassadorship in the Rite Aid Network of bloggers. All opinions are my own, of course. While there, we visited the gorgeous Hershey, PA Rite Aid location and were given a challenge – to come up with our Summer Must-Haves using only two $25 Rite Aid gift card…. challenge accepted!
Since we were given a summer themed challenge, with my Challenge partner – Jess from Love For Lacquer – we chose a summer travel theme. We searched for items that one should not be without during their summertime travels.
Our first stop was in the beauty aisle, especially since Jess has a blog dedicated to beauty and nails! We had to show some love to our girl, Julie G, who was a speaker at iRetreat and has her own line of beauty products. Her Cruise Collection nail polish was ideal for our Summer Must-Haves kit, especially since we chose a color called Miami Beach.
Of course, what’s a little Miami Beach without our beach towel and Rite Aid has these soft towels on sale half off! I’m a gal for a sale since it means we’re stretching our travel dollar.
Some cute summer sandals? Yes, please! And how cute are these fluorescent flip-flops at under $8? I also love the nautical themed ones next to them and they’re – yep, you guessed it – a super cheap $7.99. I love Rite Aid!
Jess found these super cute Rite Aid branded glasses – yes, they have sunglasses, too – and I would have fought her for them, but she looked too cute in them. Fashionable sun protection at under $14 – that’s a summer travel score!
Yes, every gal on the go needs this. And, in keeping with our travel Summer Must-Haves, this Secret Deodorant in Hawaii Citrus Breeze is perfect and it smells so fresh. And clean. And beachy. Awesome.
