I have so many wine lovers in my life; friends, family members, and I’m quite the wine lover, as well. It can be a nice relief after a hard day at work, it can highlight a thick, juicy steak or it complement a favorite dessert. While I enjoy a great glass of wine, I tend to get stuck with certain brands because of my lack of knowledge. The fear of not knowing isn’t enough to make me want to take wine education classes or read boring books about grapes, I do want to explore other great wines.
Since it is the gift-giving season, what better gift for your friends, your family, or for yourself than the gift of wine! California Wine Club is liking having friends suggesting, and sending to you, their favorite bottle of wine each month. Each shipment also contains the magazine “Uncorked” that provides information about the wine you’ve received and the winery from which it came.
My shipment this month includes two Robledo Family Winery selections; a 2009 Napa Valley Tempranillo and a 2008 Sauvignon Blanc; both really great ones – one is even an award winner. The Robledo family winery is one of Sonoma’s most successful and have even had their wines served at the White House.
California Wine Club has several levels of membership, including:
- Premier Club – The most popular club!
- Signature Series – For collectors and connoisseurs!
- International Selections – From small “mom & pop” wineries around the world.
- Aged Cabernet Series – Napa’s most prestigious Cabernets aged 8 – 12 years.
