It’s time for back to school already! My kids are 10 years apart and besides the obvious differences in their interests, there are huge differences in their school supply lists. My kindergartener requires items like safety scissors and glue sticks. My teenager requires items like scientific calculators and other technology. This year, there is one item that they’ll both need to keep them on task and organized – our new HP Deskjet 3636 in a gorgeous color that they both love!
We needed to get the kids set for success for the new school year. This meant repurposing a current desk we had. We didn’t have to buy a new one, we just need a simple work surface with a comfortable chair so that they both have a place to work. Our teen can get his work done right after school and have the rest of the evening off. Our kindergartener won’t have a lot of homework so she won’t need it for more than a few minutes.
Getting A Work Desk Set For Success
Color coded items are fun and a clean desk will help keep the kids much more organized! I found some cute and colorful accessories for the kids’ desk that are color coordinated for each of them, including a small pencil holder and a drawer box in which to store their supplies and the HP laptop.
Their HP laptop emails me daily reports on what applications they use and what they search so I don’t have to stand over their shoulder. Their parental controls are the best!
What the kids love about our new HP Deskjet 3636
The kids love that their HP Deskjet 3636 comes in Vibrant Red, Dragonfly Blue, Sporty Purple. Right out of the box, they were able to quickly print, easily scan, and make copies! And, we can keep the kids desk free of clutter with its space-saving design.
My teen loves being able to print directly to his new printer from school or from his mobile phone or tablet. The display panel features simple icons for controlling print, scan, and copy functions. We can access free HP Printables like coupons, recipes and my daughter’s favorite, coloring pages.
What we love about our new HP Deskjet 3636
First, we save money because we can print up to twice as many pages with Original HP high-yield ink cartridges. The optional quiet mode helps keep noise to a minimum, and it was super affordable – under $50 at Walmart!
Our new HP Deskjet 3636 can help them stay organized but I can use it for my own needs, too.
How the HP Deskjet 3636 can help both kids and parents
We try to make it a point to ask our kids about their day at school each day. That’s why we made these super fun printables that help ask some of the right questions we should be asking our kids. We found inexpensive clip boards that we hang above their workspace that are colorful and help them think about their day before we ask them these questions at dinner time.
This cute one is perfect for kindergarten and elementary-aged kids. You can download it to print it here! Then, either laminate it or keep a printed copy on the wall in their workspace.
I love this one for older kids because the look is a little more mature and has questions that can help parents find out about their friends and their classes. You can download it here to laminate or print to hang.
The best part of having an easy-to-use printer like the HP Deskjet 3636 is that whatever we need – whether it’s practice worksheets, book reports, or questions about their school day – we can get print it instantly and in vivid color or simple black and white. We can scan and send documents, we can copy pages to save in their files, and my husband and I can also do our work from home easily.
