With Sam’s Club and Tyson Chicken Nuggets, we prepared and easy and delicious dinner which also allowed us to become one of many Hunger Heroes that are helping to feed kids in need.
As a busy mom of two, it is sometimes difficult to cook a meal that is quick and that everyone will love. As a single mom, there have been times that it was difficult to put a meal on the table at all. There have been hard times, but we’ve always had help; there has always been family and friends that have helped when we’ve needed them.
Not everyone has family and friends that can help, as this country has seen an increase in the need for help, even when it comes to putting food on our own table. Tyson and Sam’s Club have partnered to be Champions for Kids and your family can help in the simplest way – just by eating delicious Tyson Chicken Nuggets!
For each bag of Tyson Chicken Nuggets sold at Sam’s Club from August 17th to August 31st, Tyson will donate a meal through Champions for Kids - up to 308,000 meals for kids in need of a meal! You don’t need to put on a cape or leap tall buildings; you need only go to your local Sam’s Club, pick up Tyson Chicken Nuggets, cook and enjoy them with your family. Hey, you have to cook dinner anyway. Why not enjoy something you know they’ll love knowing you’re helping provide a meal for a child.
Here’s a parenting fact we discovered: what we like isn’t always what the kids like. We picked up our Tyson Chicken Nuggets at Sam’s Club and saved time by preparing the same nuggets but created two different meals! We baked our Tyson Chicken Nuggets according to the directions and cooked rice and made our own Sweet & Sour Sauce. The kids ate nuggets and whole grain rice and we did the same, except we added an egg roll and Sweet and Sour sauce, creating an asian dish. All this while helping Tyson to donate a meal!
Want the simple recipe for our Sweet & Sour Sauce? It’s in our Google + Album which also shows our fun trip to Sam’s Club and more information on Champions for Kids and Tyson Hunger Heroes.
