Winters in the midwest are brutal, and for more than just the bitter cold. The air is incredibly dry, which often causes static electricity (the kids love to torture each other with that); bloody noses; dry, itchy skin and eyes. It’s a necessity to have on hand a hefty supply of moisturizing lotion and, more than anything, a humidifier for each of our bedrooms.

Vicks Sweet Dreams Cool Mist Humidifier
Check out the cute new Sweet Dreams Cool Mist Humidifier from Vicks! Besides the dryness of winter, every year at this time cold and flu season hits, which means our humidifier becomes multipurpose. We prefer the cool mist humidifiers because there’s no heating element, which means there’s no potential danger to our daughter.
She doesn’t care about that, though. What she loves is the fun and mesmerizing light show it projects onto her ceiling!
These are actual images from my daughter’s ceiling! The humidifier displays 9 total images, 3 of each category – safari, sea and starry night. She can use it as just as a humidifier, just as a fun nightlight, or both can be used at the same time. But, it’s not just for when the air is a little too dry in our house.
The Vicks Sweet Dreams Humidifier provides congestion relief when she’s sick. She gets relief from the cool mist for her cold & flu symptoms, the projector keeps her distracted from feeling icky, and parents can even add Vicks Scent Pads for long lasting and soothing menthol vapors.
Vicks SmartTemp Wireless Bluetooth Thermometer
We also the love the convenience of the Vicks SmartTemp. It’s a wireless, Bluetooth enabled digital stick thermometer which is unlike most others.
The SmartTemp makes tracking multiple temperatures easier than ever with a free app that you can download on your iPhone or Android device.
Readings are automatically populated from the thermometer via a Bluetooth connection, while symptoms, medications and other notes can be added to help monitor an illness. All of the data can then be saved and exported via email for easier communication with the doctor.
Best of all, it’s under $13!
