I’m Dusty Bastian, the owner and editor of As Mom Sees It. I’m a mom of two, and I live in Ohio.

How this site started

Back in 2010, just after my daughter was born, I lost my job. I was bored and looking for a way to combine two things I love: writing and sharing my opinion. That’s how As Mom Sees It began. My two kids are ten years apart, and people thought I was crazy. I just figured our family would be fun, and it is.

Why I review products

Shopping for your family can be overwhelming. There are endless choices, and most of the listings sound the same. I started reviewing products to save other moms time. I compare the details, read what real buyers say, and tell you who a product suits and where it falls short.

Today, As Mom Sees It covers baby, kids, mom and women’s products, from everyday comfort items to gear for the little ones.
