As Mom Sees It helps moms find baby, kids and women’s products worth buying. This page explains how we choose what to recommend, what a review here is based on, and how this site makes money.
How we choose products
- We start with what shoppers ask about. We cover products that moms and women are actively searching for.
- We compare the details. We look at features, materials, sizing, price and what is included, using the manufacturer’s own information.
- We read customer reviews for patterns. One rating tells you little. We look for problems that come up again and again, like sizing, durability or comfort, and we give less weight to products with only a few reviews.
- We check safety for baby and kids products. We look for recalls and safety notices before recommending them.
Researched or tested: we tell you which
Some products we have used ourselves. When we have, the review says so and shows our own photos. When we haven’t, the review is based on research, and we say that instead. We never call a product “tested” unless we have used it.
What we look for
- Fit and comfort: does it work for the people it is meant for?
- Quality and durability: will it last?
- Safety: especially for babies and children.
- Value: is the price fair for what you get?
- Who it is for: we say who a product suits and who should skip it, and we list the downsides.

Keeping reviews current
Prices, stock and product designs change. We update reviews and remove products that are no longer available. A “last updated” date appears only when we have actually changed a review.
